As the SAP Fieldglass Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the SAP Plus program modernization framework. This role is responsible for structuring how the business acquires, tracks, and pays all variations of non-employee labor, including Contingent Workforce Contractors (CWC), Construction Management & Inspection (CM&I) personnel, and other Excluded Contractors. Championing clean-core principles, you will focus on simplifying the platform, eliminating custom technical debt, and leading a comprehensive redesign of multi-platform integrations spanning SAP S/4HANA, Workday, and SAP Ariba.
Job Responsibility
Lead the end-to-end functional design of SAP Fieldglass modules for the SAP Plus program
Drive platform simplification by systematically reducing custom fields, custom layouts, and non-standard integrations to align with clean-core software architecture principles
Facilitate scoping and architecture design workshops with cross-functional stakeholders to map future-state capabilities and document key decisions
Serve as the principal subject matter expert on SAP Fieldglass capabilities, advising leadership on standard functional utilization to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO)
Own the architectural redesign of Fieldglass integrations with Workday, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP FI/CO
Directly resolve known historical friction points, including record creation failures, invoice processing errors, cost center sync lags, and termination/rehire processing defects
Validate and confirm complex integration pathways with upstream and downstream platforms, partnering with the System Integrator (SI) to review and approve functional design documents
Maintain comprehensive fit/gap analyses, project decision logs, and functional design artifacts for all related modules
Ensure all Fieldglass environment configurations align precisely with the corporate Contractor Management Policy and established worker classifications
Establish and enforce strict governance frameworks for rate cards, VP approval matrices, and exception management workflows within the unified platform
Support critical data migration initiatives, including the cleansing, technical validation, and reconciliation of master data blocks (suppliers, workers, cost objects, and operating sites)
Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), script development, defect triage cycles, and systemic resolution verification across all Fieldglass streams
Partner closely with the Contingent Workforce Program Office and the CM&I PMO to secure day-one operational readiness
Oversee the development of updated Quick Reference Guides (QRGs), leader training documentation, and delegate/proxy operational workflows
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Human Resources, or a closely related field (equivalent professional experience considered)
7+ years of dedicated SAP ecosystem experience, with specific hands-on expertise in Fieldglass configuration, implementation, and/or system administration
Demonstrated deployment experience executing at least one major, large-scale SAP Fieldglass implementation or transformation project
Deep understanding of full-lifecycle contingent workforce workflows, encompassing requisitioning, candidate select routines, onboarding, time & expense tracking, invoicing, and offboarding protocols
Functional mastery of Fieldglass Contingent Workforce Management, Services Procurement, and Profile Worker Management modules
Hands-on experience mapping rate structures, approval matrices, statement of work (SOW) templates, and custom field data boundaries
Strong grasp of modern integration architecture, including APIs, batch job management, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) middleware
Practical familiarity with SAP S/4HANA data tables, financial cost objects, and financial posting logic
Experience executing data quality audits, profiling data reconciliations, and data migration mappings

Direct experience operating within large-scale SAP S/4HANA or legacy ECC-to-S/4HANA migration projects
Professional background working within highly regulated sectors such as Energy, Utilities, or Infrastructure
Functional familiarity with adjacent platforms including SAP Ariba, Workday, SuccessFactors, SAP GRC, SAP Concur, or specialized services procurement applications
Comprehensive understanding of Canadian labor regulations and contractor compliance structures
Working knowledge of SAP clean-core principles and industry best practices for minimizing software customizations
