Job Responsibility

Assembly and welding applying learned welding techniques
Lay out, position, align, and fit components together
Bolt, clamp and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding

May assemble parts by bolting
May repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts using cutting torch, straightening press and other hand tools
The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a welder, preferably on a construction site
Must be capable of passing a welding certification test which includes SMAW and FCAW processes
Must be able to read and comprehend welding instructions
Must be familiar with blueprints and/or structural drawings
Must be able to read a tape measure
Must have all required welding tools necessary to perform the above-listed duties
Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds frequently on the job and able to climb more than 300 feet
Must be able to pull own weight when climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding up to 150 feet
Must be able to tolerate temperature fluctuations, a loud and dusty work environment, and able to be around high voltage electromagnetic fields
Candidates must show the capacity to proactively initiate, effectively lead, and consistently uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards
