Job Responsibility

Complete 9-11 customer site visits per day, collecting and exchanging non-hazardous, low-hazardous and hazardous waste streams

Build positive relationships with customers across a wide range of industries

B.S. or M.S. degree in EHS, Engineering, Industrial Safety or related EHS discipline
Minimum 12 years of experience with safety and environmental programs in a chemical, refinery, water treatment facility

Job Responsibility

Develop EH&S strategies and mitigation plans which are consistent with business performance, regulatory requirements and reliability
Assess the safety culture and develops strategies to monitor and continuously improve the overall EH&S culture. Drives EH&S strategy, continuous improvement initiative and EH&S culture that aligns with in EH&S practices in the business
Directs, conducts and participates in EH&S site assessments by EH&S team members to ensure compliance with policies and practices
Ensures through audits that EH&S programs have been implemented across the business and sites. Works closely with Managers and Site Supervisors to ensure effective implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures
Serves as contact for regulatory agencies. Provides notifications to government agencies as required. Acts as the Company’s EH&S lead in investigations or compliance issues with outside agencies. Provides expert support to the outside regulatory agencies
Develops and managers hazardous materials emergency response and contingency planning efforts. Coordinates with response contractors
Prepares and manages the EH&S budget
Supervises two EH&S managers directly. Indirectly supports a team of 10 EH&S field representatives
Designs and implements Supervisor and Employee EH&S training programs. Identifies and coordinates environmental and safety training programs for all employees
Manages environmental record keeping and reporting program. Ensures that each sites maintains the appropriate EH&S records for permitting, compliance and training records
