Job Description:

The Field Warranty Manager primary responsibility, is to make sure that all GM dealers are following the Warranty Policies and Procedures as described by GM. They will need to be self-motivated individuals, with strong analytical skills to identify areas of improvement and cost reduction initiatives. The Field Warranty Manager should have the ability to clarify doubts and/or end controversies related to warranty and process deviations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Analyze dealership historical warranty cost performance
  • In most cases, work will be conducted at the dealership physical operating location
  • Review all dealership service department processes including technician, service advisor and warranty administrator training
  • Support Earnings Before Interest and Tax (EBIT) initiatives for Customer Care and Aftersales (CCA) through warranty cost reduction efforts
  • Holds themselves and others accountable for demonstrating GMs values and cultural behaviors
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Education: preferrable in Engineering or Administration
  • Software: Office
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience: Willingness to travel and/or relocate
  • Statistical knowledge and data interpretation
  • Analytical ability to deal with complex problems
  • Good oral and written communication skills and time management
  • Very good interpersonal skills to work with others, both within and outside the organization
  • Comfortable speaking to groups, dealer operators and fixed operations management team
  • Filed experience with dealers
