Job Description

Piper Companies is seeking a proactive and seasoned Field Training & Support Engineer to serve as the technical cornerstone of our U.S. Customer Success organization working on-site in Mclean, Virginia. You will be at the forefront of drone safety and security technology, working in a fast-paced environment where your leadership directly impacts national security and public safety.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as a field training expert for new and existing clients
  • Deliver in-person and virtual training sessions tailored to client needs
  • Provide level-one technical support by troubleshooting and resolving issues remotely
  • Support client onboarding and ensure successful adoption of hardware technology
  • Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and ongoing support

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in Field Engineering, Technical Training, or Professional Services within a high-tech hardware/software environment
  • Experience conducting hardware-based training in a professional or operational setting
  • Background in military training (weapons, radar, or similar systems) OR commercial/public safety training (law enforcement, taser, or security systems)
  • Proven experience in client-facing roles with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with drone operation and flight principles
