The Field Technician provides regional, on-site support for Flash customers within an assigned territory. In partnership with the Flash Support Services team, this role plays a critical, customer-facing part in delivering FlashParking solutions in the field. You will be responsible for installing, commissioning, testing, and supporting Flash equipment at client sites—ensuring all systems are fully functional, reliable, and meet project specifications prior to handoff.
Job Responsibility:
Manage installations with guidance of the Project Manager
Commission and test all aspects and functionality of Flash equipment at the completion of installation
Service, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
Exhibit strong professional business ethics
Ensure all hardware, systems, and equipment are tested and working properly before leaving clients' locations
Be familiar with various gate manufacturers and model/types in order to successfully program multiple variations per project nature and scope
Requirements:
General knowledge of LAN/WAN networks and associated components
General experience with low and high voltage wiring or commercial electrical knowledge
Experience with troubleshooting methodologies & quality testing
Parking experience
Ability to understand Flash Parking software solutions, capabilities, and installations, including a solid understanding of FlashParking hardware and associated troubleshooting techniques
Ability to quickly learn and understand new hardware/electronic components
Ability to work autonomously in an uncontrolled environment (parking garage)
Experience communicating with colleagues and customers in a technical support environment
Comfortable using hand tools and a multimeter
Ability to use a personal computer and proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications
PARCS experience
Access Control/CCTV experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Documentation skills
Amazing attention to detail
An “I’ve got this” attitude
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment
A valid U.S. Driver’s License
Nice to have:
Comptia A+ certification a plus
Network+ certification preferred
Experience installing local networks and working with relays
Bachelor’s Degree, Associate's Degree or a Technical School Certification in a related field (or equivalent education, plus customer support, project coordination, or account management experience) is preferred
