You should possess a balance of wireless industry exposure, coupled with the ability to be independent and cover a wide area of sites in our South Dakota market where Rapid City, SD marks the center of this territory. You will be a generalist, encompassing aspects of technical support, project management, and operational support while being a responsible teammate. This role supports network operations in an area that covers Western South Dakota, Northwestern Nebraska, Eastern Wyoming, and Southwestern North Dakota by applying technical knowledge to maintain and improve network performance and reliability. It involves providing technical assistance, managing smaller projects, and contributing to operational process improvements. The role requires understanding of radio access networks, backhaul, signaling, disaster recovery, data services, and location-based services. Success is measured by effective technical support, timely project updates, and identification of process improvements. The work directly impacts network stability and service quality for organizational and customer needs.
Job Responsibility
Provide technical support to resolve network performance issues and contribute to outage resolution efforts
Manage smaller projects or project segments, delivering accurate status and progress updates as required
Identify and recommend process improvements related to maintenance and repair activities to senior staff and management
Assist in developing job aids, scopes of work, and procedural documentation in collaboration with senior technicians
Complete required training to maintain current knowledge of systems, products, and organizational standards
Develop yourself through continuous learning – completing training requirements to stay current on existing and new systems and product in order to grow skills and to expand proficiency in alignment with organizational values and requirements
Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent
2-4 years - Working experience in Field Operations and maintenance
2-4 years - Wireless telecommunications or other related experience
Electronics
Basic operational knowledge/understanding and theory of all interconnecting circuits to include but not limited to RF transmitters, antenna systems, AAV, fiber, microwave radio and AC-DC power systems
Attention To Detail
Problem Solving - Solves problems using creativity and innovation
Computer Fluency with ability to use programs such as Microsoft Office
Understanding of Internet Protocol
Ability and willingness to incorporate AI into preparing solutions for and while triaging logical components
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
