Job Description:

Field Technical Support role providing Level 1/2 support for hardware and software issues across HPE infrastructure, performing root cause analysis, system health checks, performance tuning, and capacity planning across HPE Compute and Storage platforms.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide Level 1/2 support for hardware and software issues across HPE infrastructure
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes
  • Escalate complex issues to engineering teams when necessary
  • Perform system health checks, performance tuning, and capacity planning across HPE Compute and Storage platforms
  • Apply patches, firmware updates, and software upgrades in accordance with customer change management policies
  • Execute approved changes with minimal business disruption
  • Act as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers
  • Deliver regular operational reports and participate in review meetings
  • Support continuous service improvement initiatives
  • Work cross-functionally with HPE engineering, COE, support, and account teams
  • Contribute to internal knowledge bases and mentor junior team members

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise-grade HPE Compute and Storage systems
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
  • Flexible to work in 24X7 support environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven hands-on expertise in HPE Compute platforms including HPE ProLiant servers, HPE Synergy, HPE Apollo
  • Proven hands-on expertise in HPE Storage solutions including HPE Alletra, HPE Primera, HPE 3PAR, HPE XP Storage, HPE StoreOnce and MSA
  • Broad technical knowledge on ISS solutions - Installing, Configuring & Troubleshooting of Synergy, Apollo, ProLiant DL servers, C7000 enclosures, Virtual Connects, Blade Switches- SAS, Ethernet & FC, ProLiant Blades & Storage Blades
  • Ability to troubleshoot across hardware, OS, and storage layers in complex environments
  • Knowledge on SAN, NAS technologies (Ethernet / iSCSI, FC, FCOE)
  • Knowledge on DAS Storage & HBAs - Smart Array /RAID, SSDs SAS, SATA etc.
  • Working knowledge on AIX, RedHat, CentOS, SUSE Linux and HP UX
  • Strong understanding of Networking (VLAN concepts, Analyzing switch logs, Jumbo frames, flow control etc.)
