This position will promote a positive safety culture and support construction management activities.
Job Responsibility:
Ensuring that all contractors have completed written safety and health training programs that conform to client’s standards and expectations
Responsible for the review and approval of Contractor’s Safety Plan submittal
Review and confirm all Contractor’s employees have been MSHA certified and all MSHA certification documentation has been submitted
Review and confirm ongoing compliance with the safety plan, ensure contractors implement safety review meetings, conduct onsite safety inspections, and participate in and conduct investigations
Assist client’s Director of Health & Safety in the development of health and safety training materials and provide training to all levels of the organization
Maintain safety administrative records, provide monthly statistics on hours worked including medical aid and lost time accidents
Obtain and maintain safety certification as deemed appropriate by the client and employer (such as MSHA training, CPS, First Aid, etc.)
Ensure that the project is compliant with project safety standards
Generate project meeting minutes, write daily field and material reports
Will present safety plan progress, issues and interim reports to clients, employers or other approved parties
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Ability to present construction progress, issues and interim reports to clients in a public form
Associate degree Safety or Construction or related field
Working knowledge and experience and MS office
Must be able to work in a project team and maintain a project schedule, be a self-starter, detailed-oriented and have exceptional organizational skills
Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner and work in a team environment sharing roles and responsibilities, with limited supervision
A valid passport or the ability to obtain one is required
The candidate must be able to travel, domestically & internationally, to other M3 offices and project sites to provide field support for new and ongoing projects
Must be able to pass the background check
