Job Description

As a Field Services Technician on the Cable Testing & Technical Services Team, you will play a key role in supporting nuclear and industrial facilities by performing advanced on-site testing for performance evaluations, diagnostics, condition monitoring, and troubleshooting using AMS’s proprietary platforms and other specialized tools.

Job Responsibility

  • Travel to assigned locations as needed to perform field service work
  • Apply technical background to learn and carry out specialized testing, maintenance, or service activities
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Work cooperatively with team members
  • Provide an orderly, safe, and efficient work environment
  • Follow all guidelines and expectations as set forth by organizational leadership

Requirements

  • Associate degree in electronics, or equivalent technical training such as military instruction, or hands-on experience in field services, instrumentation, electrical systems, or related maintenance work
  • Prior travel experience and eagerness to travel extensively (90–110 days annually)
  • Hands-on technical skills, including ability to read electrical schematics, use multimeters and lab equipment, solder, and troubleshoot electronic systems

  • Professional communication with strong customer-service orientation
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and stability
  • U.S. citizenship required
