Job Description

With work based out of Greymouth or Westport, you will be joining a high-performing branch with an experienced and supportive Service Manager. Work on the latest construction equipment in the field, develop your career, knowledge, skills and experience further within the heavy diesel industry.

Job Responsibility

Diagnose, maintain and repair construction equipment that is now in our client’s possession
Predominantly field service work, some workshop-based work
Maintain and create relationships with customers and potential customers within the region
Ensure excellent daily communication with the workshop and parts department
Complete all paperwork as needed
Ensure timecards are completed daily, showing the correct job number
Record stocks, oils and other materials used against a job number
Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and protocols

Requirements

Be a qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic
Have construction equipment experience
Be based or willing to relocate to the West Coast, South Island
Be a self-starter with initiative, honesty, and integrity
Have used electronic diagnostic equipment in previous roles
Have hydraulics experience
Be fit and able
Know how to work hard, and enjoy a laugh
