Job Description:

Field Service Technician: Recycling Sector. We are working alongside our client in the Recycling sector based in the United States to hire a Field Service Technician. Our client is a prominent provider of recycling and waste processing equipment throughout North America. They deliver cutting-edge machinery for material recovery facilities (MRFs) and specialize in optimizing the sorting and processing of a diverse range of recyclables, including paper, plastics, glass, metals, and organics. Approximately 90% of the work involves travel, with about 60% occurring within a designated territory near your home base. Occasional travel to Canada, Mexico, and other parts of Central America may be necessary.

Job Responsibility:

Full responsibility for the turn-key installation, servicing, and maintenance of industrial machinery
Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving electrical issues on-site
Maintaining close communication with customers throughout installations, service visits, and training sessions
Performing preventative maintenance inspections
Customer training on equipment operation and standard maintenance practices

Requirements:

Solid understanding of electrical systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, connection drawings, and mechanical blueprints
Experience with 480V electrical systems is essential
Hands-on experience with large industrial machinery is advantageous
Strong troubleshooting skills are highly valued - the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently in the field is key
Effective verbal communication in English is required
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Flexibility to work outside standard hours and stay overnight at job sites when needed

Nice to have:

Multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, French, Dutch, German, or Polish) are a plus
