Our client, a global leader in industrial machinery for woodworking, composites, and advanced materials, is looking for a Field Service Technician based out of Calgary. As a Field Service Technician, you are the face of the company, ensuring that high-tech machinery is installed perfectly and maintained to the highest global standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Reporting to the Service Manager and working autonomously in the field
  • Lead the setup and commissioning of advanced woodworking and industrial machinery at client sites
  • Perform onsite and remote diagnostics on electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems to minimize client downtime
  • Empower customers by providing hands-on training for machine operators and maintenance staff
  • Generate detailed intervention reports to document repairs, parts used, and machine performance
  • Maintain a methodical approach to troubleshooting while ensuring a safety-first environment for yourself and the customer

Requirements

  • Strong foundational knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, and Pneumatic systems
  • 2+ years of experience in equipment installation or industrial electrical component maintenance
  • A positive, customer-first attitude with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly
  • An autonomous worker who is methodical, organized, and capable of managing their own travel and toolset
  • A solution-oriented thinker who enjoys digging into root causes

Nice to have

  • Experience with manufacturers like HOMAG, Biesse, Stiles, Felder, Haas, Mazak, or Okuma
  • Strong background in diagnostics and repair
