MI Conveyance Solutions Field Service Technicians II provide the highest levels of mechanical service to meet the needs of our customers. Whether repairing and installing conveyor belts or repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment, we cater to the needs of our customers to keep their industry in motion.
Job Responsibility:
Perform on-site belt installation, splicing, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs
Repair heavyweight conveyor belt using methods such as synthetic rubber repair, vulcanizing, mechanical splices
Set up, tear down, and maintain support structure
Grease and change out rollers
Install and repair industrial electrical components
Operate telehandlers, forklifts, and/or manlifts
Load and offload work trucks and semi-trailers
Align and calibrate parts and mechanisms
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals
Provide frontline customer service
Perform rigging
Perform basic millwright tasks
Work in a safe, courteous, and professional manner always
Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and safety standards
Responsible for installation, diagnostics, repair and support for equipment at customer sites
Diagnose problems with equipment, assess extent, document findings, make repair/replace decisions
Requirements:
Technical degree and zero to three years of related experience or equivalent combination
MSHA Experienced Miner Surface AND Underground certification highly preferred
1+ year of experience working belt line in either mining, aggregate, or other related industry preferred
Forklift / telehandler certifications a plus
Basic hand tool familiarity required
Basic math experience required
Ability to lift 40-75lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 100lbs
Safety conscious and responsible
Ability to visually inspect machinery and equipment
Ability to read measuring equipment and perform basic math calculations
Ability to operate shop equipment safely
Excellent communication skills
Work effectively with customers, peers and management
Willingness and ability to drive company vehicles in alignment with Company policy required within one year of start date
DoT preferred
Must be aligned with company drug free workplace and other required customer regulatory requirements
Nice to have:

1+ year of experience working belt line in either mining, aggregate, or other related industry
