Job Description:

This is a remote, field based Technical Support Specialist role within the Food and Beverage sector, ideally based in South East UK, covering the south west London area. The role supports food, beverage and dairy manufacturing environments by delivering expert technical service and consultation to both new and existing customers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Delivering expert technical service and consultation to both new and existing customers in food, beverage and dairy manufacturing environments
  • Acting as a trusted technical partner, providing guidance on cleaning and sanitation programmes, identifying optimisation opportunities and helping customers improve hygiene performance, operational efficiency and sustainability
  • Designing and carrying out technical, self initiated studies and making recommendations based on findings
  • Applying a broad range of scientific and engineering principles, theories and concepts, while providing hands on technical support and product optimisation advice
  • Regular travel to customer sites, typically four to five days per week, within a defined regional territory

Requirements:

  • Experience working in the distillery or brewery sector
  • Previous experience in a technical support role focused on food safety
  • Strong knowledge of hygiene processes and CIP systems within the distilling or brewing industry
  • Equipment and technical expertise with digital solutions such as CIP and COP systems, 3DT CIP and MCI, with a value added mindset
  • A high level of self drive and motivation, with the ability to work independently in a field based role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience using Power BI and digital applications
  • Based within South East UK, ideally within 50 to 70 km of the south west London area
  • Willing and able to travel regularly within the region
  • Full UK driving licence with an acceptable motor vehicle record
