At Randstad Defence, we’re proud to be partnering with Electro Optic Systems (EOS)—a leading force in the design, development, and manufacturing of advanced defence systems— currently seeking a Field Service Representative to join their team in Canberra. If you have strong technical expertise, hands-on support and are looking for a career as a Field Service Representative this opportunity is for you to join a growing Australian technology company. The candidate must be an Australian Citizen or have Permanent Working Rights and be eligible for a security clearance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support EOS Trainers in the set-up and delivery of operator and maintainer training for EOS products
  • Assist in live demonstrations for customers, partners, and stakeholders
  • Participate in the planning, coordination, and execution of trials and development activities at EOS facilities, firing ranges, and customer sites
  • Participate in system trials, evaluations, and integration testing
  • Identify risks and propose treatments
  • Oversee work in accordance with company policies and safety standards
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on EOS equipment
  • Maintain accurate service records, prepare technical reports, and provide feedback for product improvement
  • Ensure safe, compliant storage, handling, and transport of weapons and controlled items in line with all company and legal requirements

Requirements:

  • Trade or technical qualification in electronics, mechatronics, or related field
  • Experience in field service roles within defence, aerospace, or technology industries
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel and work in remote or challenging environments

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge or experience in technology related to EOS product lines (weapon systems, space sensors, communications, electro-optical systems, laser systems, remotely operated systems)
  • Experience handling and operating weapon systems in a range environment
