Field Service Engineer

• Install hardware and software according to manufacturer or company instructions
• Identify and inspect the system configuration delivered by the company
• Apply instrumentation control and validation protocols
• Draft the acceptance document or intervention report and appendices and have it validated by the customer
• Promoting the sale of maintenance contracts
• Complete training in the use of systems, and in particular in the use of diagnostic aids
• Carry out metrology on equipment under external customer specifications and contracts
• Install or de-install equipment at customer sites, validate its operation, carry out preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with technical specifications, carry out any necessary technical updates, ensure Bio-Rad's internal metrology park

• 2-3 years' experience in a field service engineer position
• Sound technical knowledge in electronics troubleshooting and excellent customer handling skills
• Bachelors degree in Electronics/Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering (Laboratory Instrumentation and/or Diagnostics Instrumentation) preferred
• Maintain balanced approach under stressed situations and good organization and documentation skills
• Able to work independently and pro-actively provide feedback.

Experience in clinical diagnostics or life sciences would be beneficial, but not essential
