This is a field-based engineering role focused on servicing, maintaining, and commissioning a wide range of Measurement & Analytics instrumentation. You will work directly with customers across North West and Central England, providing technical support, resolving issues, and ensuring equipment operates efficiently. Alongside hands-on service work, you will build strong customer relationships, identify opportunities to improve performance, and support the rollout of digital service solutions. The role requires a balance of technical expertise, problem solving, and customer interaction, with some travel and occasional overnight stays.
Job Responsibility:
Carry out breakdown repairs, servicing, calibration, and commissioning of instrumentation equipment
Diagnose faults and troubleshoot technical issues on-site and remotely
Deliver planned preventative maintenance and ensure equipment reliability
Work with customers to identify improvements and reduce operational issues
Maintain accurate records, reports, and service documentation
Support digital service solutions and wider service offerings
Ensure high standards of health, safety, and professionalism at all times
Requirements:
Experience in field service, maintenance, or instrumentation within industrial environments
Background in sectors such as water, power, oil & gas, or chemicals (preferred)
ONC/HNC in Instrumentation, Measurement & Control or similar, or relevant apprenticeship
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Good communication and ability to work independently
IT literacy (MS Office)
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
