Job Responsibility:
Performance of machine inspections, repairs and parts replacements – ie. roll changes for food refiners (includes: replacement of gears, bearings, hydraulics, etc.)
Performance of service jobs on a machine basis, scheduled (preventative) and unscheduled (breakdown)
Specialist mechanical troubleshooting, repair and configuration
Machine control setup and adjustments – machine startup
Performance of complex retrofits
Generating of delegation reports
Support of Engineering and Sales in technical matters
Consulting/troubleshooting over the phone. Provide guidance and instructions to customer's technical team
Customer consulting on spare and wear parts plus retrofit packs and control systems
Instruction of customer personnel on site or in the Training Center
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Service Engineer in a similar industry - chocolate or confectionary preferable
Mechanical Engineering education
Successful completion of training program “Level 2 Service Engineer”
Knowledge of chocolate process - preferable
Knowledge of the range of equipment of the relevant business units plus knowledge of older machine series
Basic knowledge of the process technology used in the business units and the areas of food safety and ATEX
Ability to interpret (foreign-language) factory regulations
Good knowledge of English as the corporate language in its spoken and written form
