Job Description:

CK Group are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer, on behalf of an industry leading manufacturer of Scientific Instruments, on a permanent basis. The main product groups that will be supported in this position are Inorganic (ICP-OES, ICP-MS, AA). This position is Field Based M4 Corridor position, and the successful candidate will be based in the Reading, Oxford, or Banbury areas.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform field service as advised by the call dispatch staff/system in conjunction with the Team Leader, carrying our repairs, preventative maintenance, qualifications, and installation
  • Provide onsite user training on defined product groups
  • Maintains personal service spares issued and inventory records to the highest standard
  • Able to promote/sell instruments and service products including consumables and service contracts

Requirements:

  • HND or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Science, Biotechnology or similar discipline
  • An understanding of analytical techniques and instrumentation as well awareness of instrument applications a benefit
  • Experience of working in GMP environments preferred
  • Full Driving License

Nice to have:

Experience in the above product lines or Chromatography (GC/LC) and Material Characterisation (FTIR, UV/Vis and Thermal)
