Scanjet is now looking for Field Service Engineers (1-2) to join our Global Service Team in Sjöbo, Sweden. About the Team: Scanjet Global Service organization consists of 17 Field Service Engineers, across Europe and Asia. While taking part in a global structure and collaboration, this position is stationed in Sjöbo. This position reports directly to Global Service Manager. About the job: The job entails frequent travel, mostly internationally. During the onboarding you will learn about our products, receive training and work closely with colleagues. Once you are up and running, the job is done quite independently, and you will be able to demonstrate strong technical expertise and provide customer service. Since you will be working with international customers, it is important to be able to communication with customers (ship’s crew, superintendent and yard) in English.
Job Responsibility
Execute marine related services and commissioning (mechanical and electrical) assigned from Scanjet Service coordinators
On-site supervision and performing troubleshooting, warranty issue and testing
Prepare service, commissioning and/or calibration report of the work activities carried out and spare parts used
If required, sail with the vessel
Provide technical support and advice customers on Scanjet products
Carry out on risk assessment for each service and observe safe work practice
Providing equipment training to customers and new service technicians if needed
Requirements
A degree or equivalent working experience in Electrical Engineering or the Mechanical field
Solid mechanical skills and at the same time seek to develop your skillset on electrical
Previous experience of working with safety protocols and quality standards
Good knowledge in English, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Proficiency in MS Office
Drivers’ license
Nice to have
A degree or equivalent experience in Marine Engineering
Previous experience in a service organization or yard related activities
Other language knowledge in addition to English and Swedish
