As a Field Service Engineer specialising in Retail, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting our cutting-edge equipment used by retail clients. Job Responsibility:
Provide on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of weighing, labelling, and retail equipment
Diagnose technical issues efficiently and carry out effective troubleshooting to minimise customer disruption
Deliver excellent customer service by liaising directly with clients, understanding their needs, and providing clear communication
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates reliably
Keep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and customer interactions using company systems
Collaborate with the internal support team to escalate complex technical problems and contribute to continuous improvement
Stay up-to-date with new technologies, product updates, and industry standards relevant to retail equipment
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role, ideally within retail technology or related sectors
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to work on electronic, mechanical, and software systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
Good interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building positive customer relationships
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South region as required
Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in electronics, IT, or engineering are advantageous
Flexibility to respond to urgent service calls when necessary
