Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer specialising in industrial equipment, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing expert installation, maintenance, and repair services. Your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills will ensure that our machinery operates at peak performance, minimising downtime and maximising client satisfaction.

Job Responsibility

  • Carry out installation, commissioning, servicing, and repair of industrial machinery on-site
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults efficiently to reduce client downtime
  • Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment use and maintenance
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, parts used, and customer interactions
  • Collaborate with the engineering and sales teams to provide feedback and improve product performance
  • Manage your schedule effectively to meet customer commitments and respond to emergency call-outs
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times during field operations

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role within the industrial engineering sector
  • Strong understanding of industrial machinery, electronics, and mechanical systems
  • Relevant technical qualifications such as a Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or equivalent
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a remote role
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the South East region
  • Good communication skills with a customer-focused approach
