Job Description

Assist with planning, directing, and implementing the Company's safety program to ensure a safe, healthy, and incident-free work environment on every project.

Job Responsibility

  • Conduct comprehensive on-site safety assessments of projects as part of the constant monitoring process and monitor corrective actions taken
  • Help to ensure safety goals are achieved on every project
  • Help to ensure all governmental safety regulations are observed and practiced
  • Cultivate a positive attitude toward safe work practices among employees
  • Visit every jobsite at least weekly
  • Analyze and recommend corrective action for all incidents
  • Ensure employees have all resources necessary to work safely
  • Participate in pre-construction and handoff meetings
  • Develop Toolbox Safety Talks
  • educate project employees and conduct training as needed
  • Participate in the investigation of all incidents that result in lost time injuries or major property, liability, or equipment damage

  • Prepare all required regulatory reports and ensure they are submitted in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in health and safety or related field of study preferred
  • Minimum 1 year construction safety experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365
  • Microsoft Teams
  • HCSS software experience preferred
  • OSHA 30 or approved equivalent preferred
  • Good problem analysis and resolution skills
  • Thorough understanding of and ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and Company safety related laws, regulations, and policies
  • Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to provide effective training and education to others
  • Willingness and ability to work some non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends)
