Indiana Farmers Insurance is currently seeking three experienced, customer-oriented Field Property Claims Professionals to join our Claims Team and serve customers in communities throughout the following three Indiana Territories. Ideal locations include, but are not limited to: 1. Bloomington, IN - Jasper, Columbus and Southwest IN 2. Evansville, IN - Jasper, Vincennes, Southwest IN 3. South Bend, IN - Northeastern IN and Northcentral IN. We are looking for a customer-focused claims professional who enjoys working independently, building relationships, and delivering fair, timely claim resolutions that make a meaningful difference, for our customers when it matters most. This role offers the opportunity to handle a diverse mix of personal, commercial, and farm property claims, including unique agricultural risks. As a trusted field representative, you'll investigate losses, evaluate coverage, prepare property estimates, and guide customers through the claims process with professionalism and care.

Inspect, evaluate, and estimate structural property losses across a variety of property types
Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve personal, commercial, and farm property claims from first notice through settlement
Identify and refer potentially fraudulent claims for further investigation
Requirements
Field property claims experience, preferably with an insurance carrier
Strong expertise in inspecting, evaluating, and estimating structural property losses across a variety of property types, including safely accessing roofs, basements, crawl spaces, and other loss locations as needed
Ability to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve personal, commercial, and farm property claims from first notice through settlement
Skilled in interpreting insurance policies, endorsements, and coverage provisions to make sound claim decisions
Experience identifying and referring potentially fraudulent claims for further investigation
Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with a customer-focused approach and the ability to effectively manage expectations, navigate difficult conversations, and deliver outstanding service throughout the claims process
Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record
Working knowledge of Xactimate or similar estimating software, preferred
