Performs duties of lower-rated jobs
Installs, wires, and tests Heat Smart Metering
Responding to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs
Requirements:
Associate's degree in Industrial Electronics/Electricity or equivalent in combined related education and experience to include courses in basic electrical theory
Completion of the on-the-job training of the Field Meter Mechanic Ill and Il which normally takes 30 months
Additional courses in advanced math, trigonometry, vector analysis, helpful
Understanding of and the ability to apply electrical theory
Mechanical aptitude and manual and finger dexterity
The ability to perform advanced math functions quickly and accurately (fractions, decimals, algebra, and trigonometry)
Perform highly accurate, detailed work, including the use of hand and power tools
The ability to read schematics, graphs and prints
operate and calibrate metering equipment
operate, interpret and repair all meter test instruments
The ability to train and instruct others and communicate effectively with the public
Must possess and maintain a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's license
