The Field Medical Advisor - Cardiorenal builds and maintains strong scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and other external stakeholders. The role focuses on communicating the clinical value and outcomes of CSL products, supporting medical education, and providing strategic medical input to Medical Affairs activities. This position covers the Netherlands and supports a portfolio including rare disease products.
Job Responsibility:
Build and maintain trusted scientific relationships with External Experts (EEs), HCPs, and key stakeholders within the medical and scientific community
Act as a high-quality scientific liaison between CSL and external medical experts
Respond to unsolicited local medical and scientific inquiries in a timely, accurate, and customer-focused manner
Lead and actively contribute to Scientific Advisory Board meetings
Actively participate in scientific congresses, medical meetings, and symposia, including support for CSL-sponsored programs
Facilitate the review and development of collaborative and investigator-initiated research proposals
Support and conduct site feasibility assessments
Develop, implement, and actively manage engagement and development plans for identified External Experts
Facilitate speaker development and participation at local, regional, and international levels
Support appropriate External Expert development through involvement in clinical trials
Ensure all scientific interactions and communications are accurately documented
Organize and deliver high-quality educational presentations, seminars, and workshops for healthcare professionals
Ensure healthcare providers are well informed on CSL products, their clinical data, and their appropriate use
Monitor, analyze, and report insights on the evolving healthcare landscape, including competitor activities, clinical trials, and emerging trends
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Sales
Ensure all activities are conducted in full compliance with CSL's Code of Responsible Business Practice, Global Quality Policy, and local/global procedures
Requirements:
University degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences
Minimum of 3 years' experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry (medical, clinical, or specialty products)
Strong ability to apply and leverage scientific and medical knowledge
Excellent negotiation, influencing, and leadership skills
Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
Proven ability to establish and manage relationships with external experts
Demonstrated business planning, organizational, and project management skills
Innovative and strategic thinking capabilities
Solid understanding of pharmaceutical industry regulations governing medical information and customer interactions, with strong medical governance expertise
Ability to work independently, proactively, and with a high level of self-motivation
Nice to have:
Experience in the Cardiorenal or related therapeutic area is desirable
