Job Description:

Scotlynn is hiring a Field Manager to support over 7,000 acres of produce crops. If you’ve worked on farms, know your way around equipment, and have led crews or labour teams, this is a great step into a higher-responsibility role. No agriculture degree needed — just real field experience and strong work ethic.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan planting + harvest schedules
  • Lead and organize field labour teams
  • Inspect crops, track progress, and support harvest operations
  • Run soil/water tests, pesticide spraying, and crop protection
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and repaired
  • Follow industry standards for handling, packing, and storing produce

Requirements:

  • Must commute reliably to Vittoria, ON and surrounding farms
  • Valid G Licence
  • Full-time, permanent availability (hours vary seasonally)
  • Hands-on crop experience (sweet corn, pumpkins, asparagus, watermelon, ginseng, etc.)
  • Experience running and maintaining farm equipment
  • Pesticide License (required)
  • Crew lead or supervisory experience
  • Strong communication skills (Spanish an asset)
  • Able to work independently and outdoors in all conditions

  • Sets up material handling, blending, storage, transport and application equipment for blending and delivery of products
  • Blends products according to recommended rates and procedures
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and the ability to safely operate sprayers, floaters, single or tandem axle trucks and other equipment to meet company and DOT standards
  • Performs and records daily safety checks of assigned vehicle(s) and associated equipment by conducting pre-trip inspections
  • Follows the preventative maintenance program and maintains a clean truck to present a professional appearance
