Job Responsibility

Conduct field scouting activities to capture crop quality data using company-provided mobile devices
Travel daily from a central meeting location in Waco to assigned field sites (may be up to an hour away) using a personal vehicle
Perform field observations including crop assessments, pollen tracking, and data entry
Assist with planting, pollinating, note-taking, and manual harvesting as needed
Support indoor operations such as seed receiving, cleaning, sorting, treating, counting, labeling, and storage
Maintain accurate records using handheld devices and computer-based systems
Participate in inventory handling, including organizing and storing materials while ensuring accuracy in tracking systems
Perform basic equipment upkeep and follow preventive maintenance procedures when assigned

Develop accurate fiber/optical network construction surveys
Determine existing and new locations for fiber optic cables
Inspect the work of construction contractors
Accurately depict new construction route opportunities
Assure that personal vehicle and tools are maintained to company safety standards

Minimum of two years' experience in construction industry and/or welding
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) may be required
Must be proficient in reading and interpreting structural steel drawings
Must have excellent communication skills
Must be able to climb to heights more than 300 feet
Overtime and overnight travel are required
Must be able to lift to 50 pounds occasionally

Inspect structural steel for plumb, level, and elevation per AISC Codes and Standards
Inspect welding and handling of welding materials for compliance with drawings and governing standards
Inspect bolted and/or riveted structural connections by fastening materials, faying surfaces, tension, etc
Assist in the inspection of materials received on the job site
Assist in the inspection of all phases of steel erection, equipment installation, etc
Perform on site internal audit to confirm, or establish compliance with AISC, AWS, and company QA/QC Manual
Ensures compliance of AISC and AWS Standards with company subcontractors
Work within guidelines provided in company QA/QC Manual and apply codes and standards offered by related governing bodies such as AISC and AWS
The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required
Perform non-essential functions as needed
