Job Responsibility:
Administer medications (IV, IM and SC) in the patient's home or specialty clinics setting
Monitor post-injection/infusion treatments as well as chart and report on all activities as directed by program protocols
Provide patient education based on program protocols, individually or in groups
Regular, predictable availability to meet appointment scheduling needs in an efficient and cost effective manner to provide patients with quick access to necessary therapies
Coordinate daily with patients, case managers, physicians, scheduling and other departments to meet established timelines for scheduling appointments, treatments, and communication of information
Adhere to professional nursing standards as prescribed by the professional associations and the company
Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary health care team providing oversight and delegation of applicable tasks to RPN/LPN as authorized by provincial college of nurses
Perform related duties and tasks as required
Work collaboratively with the Business Area Manager and Training department to ensure nurses are identified when additional training is required
Provide continuous support for all nurses within a specific region
Assist BAM with development and implementation of onboarding learning plan/preceptor schedule
Prepare clinics for external and internal audits
Identify educational gaps at the field level, and provide guidance/education to field nurses as necessary
Build positive relationships within team to help facilitate more seamless change management as necessary
Co-host team huddles to share best practices and disseminate new organizational information
Assist BAM in planning team educational initiatives (i.e. Education Day)
Validate in order to proceed with the administration of a product
Support nurses in a patient evaluation when applicable
Support with training portals (Master Control, Learning Portal and My HR) via emails, phone calls and any other virtual support tools
Demonstrate an active presence for new nurses (answering punctual and frequent questions)
Support administrative training for new nurses on specific platforms and portals including but not limited to: Outlook, Scheduler, T-Rex and or MyHR
Create general training tools (quick references) for new nurses
Assistance with ACLS recertification for French speaking nurses since online training is only available in English (helping with questions translations without giving them the answers)
Assistance with English communication between French speaking nurses and the Oakville staff
Providing feed-back to manager about field nurse interactions and performance as needed.
Assisting the BAM with the opening and setup of a new and or moving a clinic
Provide back up for vacation or leave coverage where necessary
Maybe required to travel occasionally within the IBU
Requirements:
Qualified registered nurse (valid provincial license from the College of Nurses)
Healthcare provider CPR certificate required
Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Registered Nurse
Previous experience in a leadership or training role within a clinical environment
Experience in a critical care, emergency, acute care inpatient/outpatient or homecare setting are considered assets
ACLS, CVAA Certification, and central venous lines/port experience are considered assets
Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook (e-mail), and MS Word
Excellent customer service skills in dealing with nurses and our clients
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to work autonomously with little supervision as part of a larger remote team
Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry
Working knowledge of automated warehouse operating system
Strong business and financial acumen
Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
