Job Description

Field Guide position at Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa in the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve. Responsible for guest activities, wildlife management, animal care, and providing authentic desert experiences while maintaining resort standards and conservation principles.

Job Responsibility

  • Guest check-in and check-out
  • Conduct educational activities
  • Coordinate guest services between departments
  • Maintain equipment and vehicles
  • Wildlife management and conservation
  • Falcon care and training
  • Horse exercise and care
  • Guest transfers and hospital runs
  • Vehicle maintenance and repair
  • First aid equipment management

Requirements

  • Assist with guest check-in, reception, and check-out
  • Conduct activities and special requests for guests
  • Maintain equipment including vehicles
  • Maintain professional grooming standards (short hair and clean shaven for men)
  • Maintain competency for all activities
  • Physical ability for demanding activities
  • Weight limit of 85 kg for horse riding
  • Exercise horses when not used for guest rides
  • Care for allocated falcon including feeding, flying, training
  • Collect live quails and animal feed
  • Capture and remove wildlife from guest areas
  • Remove animal carcasses
  • Perform Oryx control duties
  • Collect garbage in conservation area
  • Perform standby shifts and hospital transfers
  • Vehicle maintenance and tire repair
  • First aid equipment maintenance
