Overall responsibilities on the Field Engineering of LNG project, including the LNG Plant, LNG Tank, all Sohar Package studies and other support. The Job holder is responsible for a total of 5 Full-Time-Equivalent Engineers and manage external resources from HQ. The Field Engineering Manager reports directly to the LNG Project Package Manager as it represents the main part of the engineering work.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure the design meets the requirement of the Contract obligation, basis of Design, Project Spec, General Specifications and codes & standards are applied in a fit-for-purpose manner
Review and respond to Deviation request and technical queries related to the Scope of Work and initiate workshop or alignment meeting when required
Manage a multi-disciplinary technical team efficiently and in a good working atmosphere (disciplines involved are Piping/Mechanical, Elec, ICSS&Tel, Structure/Civil, Process, etc...)
Ensure quality of all disciplines as well as the quality of the deliverables provided by the contractor
Review and decide most efficient way forward on site or vendor NCR
Ensure swift reply of company position to avoid any construction delays
Own the preparation and issuance by all contractors of As Built and Red Line Mark up documentation
Support the development of the ICSS system with the various parties involved (Vendor, contractor, packages, buildings, etc)
Support the commissioning and Start-Up team with the expertise of field engineering team
Requirements:
Minimum 15 years of experience in project engineering
Proven experience in operations, installation, pre-commissioning, construction, site works & project management
Good knowledge in diverse technical disciplines (process, safety engineering, structure, piping etc.)

Initiative
Ability to adapt and to represent the company in discussions/negotiations with contractors
Engineer, or equivalent level/diploma
English mandatory (minimum of level 3 on the Bright test)
