Join our team as a Field Engineer and play a critical role in turning project plans into successful field execution. You’ll support field leadership by coordinating labor, materials, quality, safety, and commissioning activities while maintaining the systems and documentation that keep projects running smoothly. If you’re organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy working closely with field managers, project managers, and engineers to drive quality, productivity, and profitability, this role offers hands-on involvement across the full project lifecycle.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure daily corporate documentation is completed and up to date
Coordinate and attend RKMI in-house pre-construction meetings
Ensure permits and/or licenses are obtained and current for project
Coordinate timely completion and thorough buy-out procedures on materials and equipment
Collaborate with Field Manager to ensure Triangulation take-offs are complete, accurate and on time
Responsible for maintaining project as-built drawings
Responsible for the administration of the signed subcontract requirements
Collaborate with PM and logistics department in the development, preparation, and finalization of RKMI’s mechanical construction CPM schedule
Coordinate ordering, processing, and delivery of materials and equipment
Responsible for proper execution of project quality control procedures
Responsible to manage the process of requisitions, return and /or transfer of project tools
Ensure that change order requests (COR’s) are processed in accordance with proper procedures
Collaborate with Field Manager (s) to provide take-offs for changed conditions
Coordinate and track take-off orders, procurement and release of change order items
Responsible for managing labor resource planning processes
Responsible for managing and coordination of the start-up and commissioning process
Responsible for job closeout being performed in proper and efficient manner
Collaborate with Field Manager(s) to schedule daily and weekly scope of work activities
Monitor crafts compliance with company/project safety program requirements
Assist safety manger with preparation, documentation, and distribution of accident reports
Maintain proper journeyman to apprentice ratio
Conflict Resolution
Execute, supervise and maintain CPMIS
Optimize the profitability of the company by demonstrating the ability of a decision maker with reliable and mature judgment
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in a related position
College/university graduate or equivalent combination of skills and experience generally expected for specified technical roles
Fully competent in all conventional aspects of subject matter or functional area
Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation/modification of standards
Devises new solutions to problems encountered
Independently performs most assignments with instruction
Receives guidance for unusual or complex problems and supervisor approval for changes in standards
