Field Development Manager, Tasmania South & Emerge Coordinator

• Lead the local delivery of SU ministry through training, coaching and leading both staff and volunteers in ministry opportunities within your district
• Grow SU ministry in the geographical area by establishing new camps and programs, and coaching event directors and volunteers
• Develop programs and opportunities for young people (aged 12 – 19 years) to grow their skills in leadership and discipleship to help them become future leaders on SU camps and other mission programs
• Liaise with schools associated with the Emerge Schools program, delivering workshops and training co-facilitators

• Broad understanding of Christian youth and children’s ministry, including camps, weekend and afternoon programs and holiday missions
• Ability and desire to create new children’s and youth ministry expressions
• Minimum 3 years’ experience leading professional teams as well as recruiting and working with volunteer teams preferably within a not-for profit environment
• Good understanding of leadership principles
• Ability to connect with schools and coordinate the implementation of the Emerge program in schools across Tasmania
• Demonstrated ability to network, build partnerships and strategic alliances with a broad range of people, churches and other Christian organisations
• Tertiary qualifications in youth work, leadership, business or related field
• Driver’s license essential
