Job Responsibility

Travels outside the OR suite to assist with placing adult & pediatric patients on ECMO or other mechanical assist device
First scrub adult & pediatric complex vascular and cardiovascular procedures including transplants
Demonstrates proper sterile technique during procedure
Handoff to other crew members
Demonstrates accuracy and appropriate handling, labeling, and hand off to nurse of all specimens and cultures according to MHS policy
Verifies name of specimen with Physician
