Job Description

The Field Clinical Liaison is a key member of the Clinical Engagement Team within the Medical Affairs department, serving as a bridge between the company and the healthcare community. This role is responsible for engaging with healthcare professionals (HCPs), key opinion leaders (KOLs), medical societies, and patient advocacy groups to communicate scientific and clinical insights related to our medical technologies. The FCL plays a pivotal role in enhancing awareness, education, and adoption of our solutions while gathering field-based clinical insights to inform internal strategies. The FCL is also responsible for monitoring and reporting on engagements with external stakeholders to assess effectiveness, identify gaps, and refine the stakeholder network in accordance with the company’s strategic objectives. Additionally, close collaboration with various functions within the Medical Affairs marketing and commercial organization is essential to support the development of comprehensive medical strategies.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as a trusted clinical resource for HCPs, KOLs, and professional societies, providing evidence-based education on the disease state management and clinical best practices
  • Deliver presentations, conduct training sessions, and facilitate discussions at medical conferences, workshops, and educational events
  • Support Commercial and Marketing teams by co-developing clinical content, acting as a SME, reinforcing scientific messaging, and enhancing stakeholder understanding of ResMed’s vision and mission
  • Build and maintain relationships with KOLs, clinical champions, and influential stakeholders to drive awareness and clinical adoption
  • Collaborate with medical societies and advocacy groups to support initiatives aligned with improving patient care
  • Act as a liaison between the field and Resmed, gathering clinical insights to inform research, product development, and strategy
  • Curate and analyze field-based clinical insights to inform strategic decision-making, ensuring findings are actionable and linked to key business challenges
  • Identify and communicate emerging trends, barriers to adoption, and opportunities to enhance patient outcomes
  • Support the development of scientific content, including clinical presentations, white papers, and educational materials

Requirements

  • Advanced clinical degree preferred (RN, RRT, NP, PA, PharmD, PhD)
  • 5+ years of experience in a clinical, medical affairs, or field-based role within the med tech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry
  • Strong knowledge of respiratory and sleep therapeutic areas preferred
  • Experience engaging with KOLs, HCPs, and medical societies in a scientific or educational capacity
  • Business Acumen – Understanding of the company’s strategic goals, financial considerations, and stakeholder needs to align activities accordingly
  • Project & Resource Management – Skills in balancing multiple initiatives, setting priorities, and optimizing resources based on impact potential
  • Ability to translate complex scientific data into practical applications for diverse audiences
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time to engage with stakeholders, attend conferences, and support field activities
