Job Description

Field Category Manager position responsible for local assortment, planogram execution, vendor relationships, pricing decisions, and operational reporting to achieve financial targets and support national/regional strategic objectives.

Job Responsibility

  • Supports national and regional strategic direction

  • Owns frontline pricing decisions
  • Responsible for vendor operations and local relationships
  • Responsible for planogram implementation and resets
  • Responsible for actionable operational reporting
  • Selects local vendors and negotiates costs
  • Develops promotional concepts and overlay programs
  • Foster positive relationships between teams
  • Supports pilots/testing activities
  • Establishes and monitors gross margins
  • Projects and measures category sales and gross profit results
  • Maintains external vendor relations
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing annual category review and budget

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, business, or related field preferred
  • Five years of experience or more preferred
  • Minimum of three years of management responsibility
  • Expertise in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong relationship management, analytical thinking, and financial acumen skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
