Job Description:

Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drive everything we do. Our Commercial team sits at the centre of Deliveroo’s marketplace—shaping how we serve restaurants, grocers, and new verticals worldwide. From negotiating key partnerships to unlocking new revenue streams and crafting data-led growth strategies, we take on big challenges that move the business forward. If you thrive in fast-paced, commercial environments and want to influence the future of a global brand—this is the team for you. We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Bristol & South West team. In this role, you’ll help us sign up the best restaurants in the region, improving our proposition for customers and identifying ways to fuel our rapid growth across the South West and Wales.

Job Responsibility:

  • Map, pitch, and close new restaurant partners across your region
  • Connect with restaurant owners through physical visits, calls, and digital platforms
  • Oversee the end-to-end partner onboarding process
  • Take ownership of a partner’s first eight weeks on the platform
  • Stay ahead of industry trends by attending food meet-ups and sampling high-quality food from potential partners

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in 'hunting' roles
  • Ability to structure win-win deals
  • Strong understanding of the economics of food delivery
  • Ability to work towards demanding monthly targets
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport face-to-face, over the phone, and via email
  • Genuine interest in the food and restaurant scene
  • Ability to demonstrate product value to savvy business owners
  • A self-starter with a valid driving licence and car
  • Comfortable being out on the road and taking full ownership of their region
What we offer:
  • Competitive and comprehensive compensation and benefits package
  • Annual cash bonus, sign-on bonus or relocation support (depending on role and location)
  • Up to 5% matched pension contributions
  • Share awards (some roles)
  • Free Deliveroo Plus
  • Team lunches from the best local restaurants
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with length of time spent working at Deliveroo
  • One day of paid leave per year to volunteer with a registered charity
  • Funded single cover healthcare on our core plan
  • On-site gym (HQ), discounted external gym membership
  • Access to wellbeing apps
  • Discounted dental insurance and a range of other flexible benefits
  • Life assurance
  • Maternity, paternity and maternity and shared parental leave, eligible from day one of employment
  • Excellent kit to enable working from home and a parent-friendly working culture
  • Access to free mortgage advice
  • Cycle to Work Scheme or Season Ticket Loans
  • Excellent learning and development opportunities and access to RooLearn
  • Regular Employee Resource Group (ERG) led social events
  • Summer and end-of-year parties
