The new recruit will be part of the Field Application Engineering Sales team for EMEAI and based in Bangalore. As a Field Application Engineer, you’ll be the bridge between technical expertise and customer satisfaction. Your role involves collaborating with engineering, sales, and customer service departments to address technical issues related to our products and services. You’ll liaise with clients, incorporate user-defined needs and feedback into application designs, and provide essential technical support.
Job Responsibility:
Interface with customers and help sales rep during technical discussions
Be the connection between Engineering and the customer
Understand customer requirements and advise which Sandisk product to use
Perform Level 1 failure analysis on Field returns
on site support for OEM customers
Provide prompt technical support to customers, sales staff, and Sandisk distributors
Applications support: Assisting customers with technical solutions
Project management: Overseeing a range of power products, including testing, evaluation, and customer/supplier liaison
Leading technical issue resolution during the design phase
Actively engage with customers to solve technical problems related to Sandisk products or system-level issues
On site verification support for OEM customers
Ensure that customer-specific product developments are completed on time and within budget
Make sound judgment calls on utilizing internal or external resources as needed
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all Sandisk products, including new product introduction
Digest and provide relevant updates to internal stakeholders on existing and new legislation/specifications relevant to power products
Be proactive in proposing alternative solutions by modifying existing models when standard models are not the right fit
Foster good relations with suppliers and stay informed about products in the markets
Conduct product presentations to customers
Maintain essential documentation and information related to projects within Sales Force, SharePoint & Microsoft365 and any other required platforms
Requirements:
Knowledge of eMMC, UFS, SD Card, NVMe interfaces
knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu), Windows. Other OSes a plus (Yocto Linux, Android, QNX)
Basic programming/shell language knowledge (Python, Ruby, bash) is a plus
Experience in HW debugging
Strong autonomous problem-solving capabilities
Customer oriented communication skills
Availability to travel for up to 30% of the time
An Electrical Engineering Degree with at least 3 years’ of work experience in related industrial. 5-10 years of total experience
Experienced working with test equipment including oscilloscope and CE test equipment
Experienced with solving technical issues at customer sites
Strong troubleshooting skills at the system level
Strong challenger spirit & a customer focus mindset
Nice to have:
Basic programming/shell language knowledge (Python, Ruby, bash) is a plus
knowledge of other OSes (Yocto Linux, Android, QNX) a plus
