Job Description:

The Solutions Engineering Group (SEG) Field Applications team is seeking a Field Applications Engineer – Project Team to support project development and execution of semiconductor test solutions. This role focuses on project execution, working closely with project leads, customers, and global engineering teams to develop, bring up, and deploy test solutions in a collaborative engineering environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Contribute to project development activities, supporting test solution implementation from requirement understanding through release
  • Develop, debug, and deploy test solutions for semiconductor devices on Teradyne ATE platforms (Example: UltraFLEX, UltraFLEXPlus)
  • Support test program bring‑up, correlation, and release‑to‑production activities
  • Troubleshoot technical issues using structured analysis and practical problem‑solving approaches
  • Optimize test solutions to improve yield, throughput, and overall test efficiency
  • Work with customers and internal teams to clarify requirements and deliver effective engineering solutions, including on‑site support when required
  • Collaborate with global application and engineering teams to align on scope, schedule, and technical execution
  • Manage assigned tasks effectively while adapting to changing project needs

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in ATE test or product engineering with test development experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Teradyne ATE platforms (Example: UltraFLEX, UltraFLEXPlus)
  • Solid understanding of semiconductor test fundamentals, including test program bring‑up, debug, and correlation
  • Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as C#, .NET, VBA, C, or C++
  • C# .NET proficiency is highly preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers and global engineering teams
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% as required
