Job Description

As a Fiber to the Home (FTTH) Installation Technician, you will play a crucial role in deploying and maintaining our industry leading FTTH network. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality installations, troubleshooting any connectivity issues, and providing exceptional customer service. This job is based in Western Michigan, specifically Allegan and Ottawa Counties.

Job Responsibility

  • Conduct site surveys to determine the best placement of fiber equipment and plan installation routes
  • Install and terminate fiber optic cables at customer premises, ensuring proper connections and signal strength
  • Configure, connect and set up customer premises equipment such as routers and Gateways
  • Perform thorough testing of installed equipment to verify optimal performance and compliance with industry standards
  • Identify and rectify any connectivity or performance issues
  • Provide clear and concise instructions to customers on using FTTH services and troubleshooting basic issues
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and friendly manner
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and any necessary repairs or upgrades

  • Understand basic data center concepts and perform related work with supervision as needed
