Job Description:

VC International Inc. is a leading telecommunications infrastructure services provider supporting large-scale network builds across North America. We specialize in the planning, design, managing and build of fiber optic networks for major telecom carriers and enterprise clients. As we expand our U.S. operations, we are seeking experienced aerial Fiber Optic Splicer Technicians to join our growing field operations team. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for skilled professionals looking to build long-term careers in a high-demand industry. Job Responsibility:

  • Drive a company vehicle dispatched to various sites as required
  • Splice aerial and underground fiber optic cables in outside plant (OSP) environments
  • Perform single-fiber and mass fusion splicing
  • Test, troubleshoot, and certify fiber optic networks using industry-standard tools
  • Accurately document splice records, test results, and completed work
  • Maintain project-related and safety documentation
  • Work off ladders
  • Read work plans/design drawings/blueprints/maps
  • Follow company safety policies and site-specific requirements

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of fiber optic splicing experience (feeder and distribution)
  • Experience with outside plant (OSP) fiber networks
  • Proficient with fiber testing equipment, including: OTDR, Power Meter, Live Fiber Identifiers
  • Experience working off ladders or aerial equipment required
  • Valid U.S. driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Ability to pass a background check and any site‑specific screening requirements
  • Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
  • CDL (Commercial Driver's License) preferred
  • willingness to obtain CDL or air brake endorsement is an asset
  • Experience with FTTx / FTTH projects preferred

  • Sealing and Placement of Case: Ensuring that the enclosure is properly closed and secured to protect the equipment and cables inside from environmental elements
  • Read Prints and Maps: Examine Splice Matrix and redline maps to understand fiber routes and assignments
