Job Description

Relationship Manager – FIG, India. The role Of the RM is to lead, develop and coordinate the Bank’s relationship with FIs – especially Non-Banking entities/clients (including Lifers) across India. The job is based in the CA-CIB India Head Office at Mumbai. The job may involve limited travelling to other locations in India and overseas travel (internal seminars and training programs).

Job Responsibility

  • Lead, develop and coordinate the Bank’s relationship with FIs – especially Non-Banking entities/clients (including Lifers) across India
  • Business Development - to achieve preset business plans and targets
  • Relationship Management - to establish relationship with key stakeholders (at clients’ end) to ensure long term profitable relationship and strategic dialogue
  • Risk Management – to be aware and take steps to mitigate any evolving risk scenarios
  • To identify all potential opportunities and originate business from our FI clients based on their needs, given our product suite within our business/product lines across Global markets, Financing and Transaction Banking
  • To ensure effective conversion of prospects into clients
  • Establish and maintain senior level contact within the client organizations
  • To achieve the revenues target for the year, as agreed upon
  • Establish and foster strong relationship with internal stake holders such as RPC, support functions, product and business lines
  • Primary person responsible for ensuring compliance with KYC, financial security, regulatory, legal norms for the targeted set of clients

Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree – MA/MSc/PhD/Doctorate or equivalent
  • MBA
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of relationship management experience, with a focus on NBFI clients
  • Must have a very good understanding of bank’s KYC guidelines, processes, systems & local regulatory environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good personal franchise with various internal stakeholders
  • Proactive. Determined. Self-motivated
  • Good inter-personal skills. Know how to co-ordinate different business and support line’s actions
  • Relevant product knowledge (Fixed Income, Trade Finance, etc.)
  • English

  • Support with the aim to ensure wholesale credit risks within Citi are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled, consistent with the bank’s risk appetite and all policies and processes established within the risk governance framework
  • Under the supervision of the Markets In-Business Quality Assurance Functional Head, support execution of the following: Consistent and objective assessments during QARs
  • Subsequent follow-up on corrective actions that were raised during QARs
  • Sustainability testing of corrective actions resulting from issues raised by Internal Audit or Regulators
  • Synthesize and prepare quarterly Quality Assurance Scorecard Reports to ICM business management that communicate and measure results and identify negative trends and potential solutions
  • Constant interaction with the respective Analysts and Team Leads, to ensure that quality assurance protocols are adequate for all portfolios
  • Support WCR IBQA function in the establishment of WCR IBQA policies, procedures, risk assessment and controls to drive effective QA coverage and standards
  • Support ICM Head of Markets In-Business Quality Assurance Functional Head to stay abreast of relevant changes to rules/regulations and other industry news including regulatory findings
