Job Description

Registered Practitioner in Fertility Care role at Care Fertility Northampton, providing world class service to patients on their fertility journey. The role is varied across theatre, ward and clinic settings.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide information and advice on treatments to patients
  • Provide emotional support
  • Co-ordinate treatment cycle plans
  • Coach patients to self-administer fertility drugs
  • Care for patients pre and post theatre as well as in the clinic
  • Perform venepuncture
  • Interpret and give blood results when necessary
  • Perform basic patient assessments
  • Undertake pre-treatment consultations
  • Assist in theatre procedures, including egg collections, embryo transfers, IUI’s and Hy Co Sy
  • Preparation of theatre, ward and maintenance of resuscitation trolley

Requirements

  • A qualification in adult nursing (Degree/ Diploma) or Midwifery
  • Current NMC registration
  • Post registration experience working within an acute hospital setting

  • Experience of gynae/obstetric
