Job Description:

This is a role to work specifically with an individual who likes to be active and creative. They are autistic and wheelchair user and require support from staff that value honesty and respect. This role is about working with someone, not over them, and you’ll be part of a team that values clear communication, mutual respect, and practical, compassionate care. This is a meaningful opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference through respectful, consistent, and person-centred care.

Job Responsibility:

Working with an individual who is autistic and a wheelchair user and requires support from staff that value honesty and respect

Requirements:

Female Support Worker
Car owner and willing to use their car for work with mileage paid
Willing and able to support all aspects of life including cooking, activities, and life skills
Treats others the way they’d want to be treated
Respects the individual’s space, belongings, and autonomy
Is proactive and can take initiative without being prompted constantly
Has emotional resilience and life experience
Is calm, observant, and able to help manage triggers before they become an issue
Able to problem solve
Understands that quality of life is more important than pushing for total independence and demonstrates a willingness to adapt depending on the need presented
Wants to support someone in living a fulfilling, self-directed life
Fully engaged in the role, not just active but attentive
Experience is welcome but not essential, the right attitude matters most
