Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Female Live-In Support Worker to provide 1:1 support for a young man with complex needs living in Blackpool. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's life by promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life within a home environment. Please note: Due to the personal care requirements of this role, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the post holder to be female in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

Job Responsibility:

Providing 24-hour live-in care and support
Supporting with all aspects of personal care
Administering and managing medication
Managing and monitoring epilepsy, including seizure response protocols
Supporting and maintaining PEG feeding
Assisting with mobility and daily living activities
Encouraging engagement in activities and promoting independence
Maintaining accurate care records and reporting concerns appropriately
Working collaboratively with family members and healthcare professionals

Requirements:

Previous experience supporting individuals with complex needs
Experience with epilepsy management
PEG feeding experience (or willingness to undergo specialist training)
A calm, confident, and compassionate approach
Ability to work independently and follow care plans accurately
Good communication and record-keeping skills
Flexibility and reliability
