Job Description:

We are currently recruiting Full Time Female Support Workers to support an individual within the NEWQUAY area. We are committed to Equal opportunities. We currently have a great opportunity for dedicated Support Workers to work with an individual who has learning disability / autism / mental health support needs. The individual will be provide support throughout the day and night.

Job Responsibility:

Support an individual who has learning disability / autism / mental health support needs
Provide support throughout the day and night

Requirements:

Provide support during the good times and the difficult periods our individual faces in their daily life
Have a good understanding of Autism / Mental Health and how this can impact daily living or have working with in a mental health setting
Understand Autism or have had experience working with Autistic people, and that you understand that being autistic is an important part of who they are
Be a positive advocate for them
Be consistent – do what you say you say you will if you can’t explain why
Be prepared to motivate them in a supportive manner
Be patient and understanding encourage them on the difficult days
Have a fun and kind personality who will go on adventures
Work with them to solve issues and overcome day to day tasks
Come to work to “Get to know me” as that is what is needed to support them
Work as part of the team who deliver amazing person-centred care
Think outside the box
Be able to have a laugh and joke but have set standards and boundaries

Nice to have:
