Job Description:

We are looking for a female support worker to join a small, dedicated team providing one-to-one overnight support for a friendly and independent woman living with a high-level spinal cord injury (C6/7 Tetraplegia). She is articulate and enjoys reading, gardening, visiting garden centres, and swimming. She values calm, capable support that allows her to maintain her independence, comfort, and dignity.

Job Responsibility:

Providing personal care, including continence and bowel management
Supporting with repositioning, using appropriate equipment
Monitoring wellbeing and ensuring a peaceful night’s rest
Promoting dignity, choice, and a person-centred approach at all times
Providing respectful and attentive support throughout the night, ensuring comfort, safety, and personal care needs are met

Requirements:

Experience in continence and bowel management
Awareness of supporting spinal injuries
Confidence working one-to-one during the night
Patient, kind, and professional
Reliable, discreet, and able to work with empathy and respect

Nice to have:

Experience supporting someone with a spinal injury
