Job Description:

We are currently recruiting Full and Part time Female Support Workers to support an individual with Epilepsy and a complex learning disability within the COCKERMOUTH area. The individual will be living on their own so we are looking for Support Workers who can provide 360 wrap around support that covers all aspects of her life throughout the day and night.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide 360 wrap around support that covers all aspects of her life throughout the day and night
  • Providing guidance with all aspects of everyday living

Requirements:

  • Provide support during the good times and the difficult periods our individual faces in their daily life
  • Have a good understanding of complex learning disability and epilepsy and how this can impact daily living
  • Understand learning disabilities or have had experience working with individuals who have a learning disability and epilepsy
  • Be a positive advocate
  • Be consistent
  • Be prepared to motivate them in a supportive manner
  • Be patient and understanding
  • Have a fun and kind personality who will encourage activities
  • Work with them to solve issues and overcome day to day tasks
  • Come to work to “Get to know me”
  • Work as part of the team who deliver amazing person-centred care
  • Think outside the box
  • Be able to show kindness, and understand the processing time
  • Be able to deliver personal care requirements
  • Be able to have a laugh and joke but have set standards and boundaries
  • Personal Care (Must)
