Job Description

We currently have a great opportunity for dedicated Full Time and Bank Support Workers to work with an individual who has a learning Disability and autism and mental health support needs within the Carlisle CA3 area. Please note we are not a recruitment agency. Are you full of life, energetic, and passionate about making a real difference? We’re looking for positive, caring and proactive individuals to join a dedicated support team for an incredible woman living in her own home. She lives life to the fullest and needs a team that will embrace her world, her family, and her way of doing things.

Job Responsibility

  • Support an individual with learning disability, autism and mental health needs in daily living including shopping, meal preparation, gardening, and attending appointments
  • Work collaboratively with family
  • Use Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for supporting people to live their best lives
  • Patience, empathy and great communication skills (verbal and non-verbal)
  • Experience with PBS or a strong willingness to be trained
  • A person-centred approach – always putting the individual first
  • The ability to work as part of a consistent and committed team
  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism is desirable
